Not sure which recall training option suits you and your dog?
Here’s a quick guide:
The Reliable Recall Workshop is a $99 one-off group session — the fastest way to get practical recall techniques you can use straight away. It’s ideal if your dog’s main issue is not coming back when called and you want focused, hands-on training without a multi-week commitment.
Obedience or Teen Dog Classes are the best option if recall is one of several issues you’re working on. These multi-week classes cover real-life obedience, including recall, focus, loose lead walking, and settling — great value if your dog needs a broader foundation alongside a reliable come-when-called. Pricing starts from $280 for a 4-week class.
Private Home Recall Training is the most personalised option — a trainer works with you and your dog in your own home and the outdoor environments where recall actually matters. This is the right choice if your dog is reactive or anxious, if previous training hasn’t worked, or if you want one-on-one attention fully tailored to your needs. From $299 for a 90-minute initial session.

Is your dog’s recall a bit hit or miss?
Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining an existing skill, our popular recall training workshop in Sydney covers everything from basic recall techniques to advanced training setups and real-life scenarios to ensure your dog reliably returns to you, no matter the distraction.
What You’ll Learn:
Recall – the ability to have your dog come back to you when called- is by far the most important and often the most difficult command to train. A reliable recall means that your dog will choose to come to you every time when called.
The key to understanding this is to look at the situation from the dog’s point of view. The most common situation where we call our dog is on a walk when the dog is off-leash. This is often the most exciting part of their day, with many different things to see and experience. There are other dogs to play with, people, birds, smells, etc., around them and the freedom to roam wherever they want to. Would you choose to be on the lead instead?
Dogs choose to do what is most rewarding for them.
So, a dog ignoring your recall command at the off-lead park simply finds it more rewarding to continue playing and exploring than it is to obey the command. Dogs, just like people, are constantly weighing up the costs and benefits of their behaviour. To succeed in recall training, we must be more exciting and more rewarding than anything else around. And this is the reason so many dog owners find recall training challenging.
Lucky for us, reliable recall can be trained. It’s a combination of using the right kind of reward that motivates your dog to come back to you, practises that focus on making it successful for your dog to choose you over other things and controlling the environment, better known as distraction training.
Our recall training options teach you how to motivate your dog to come back to you every time when called, how to train a reliable recall step by step and how to add distractions to your training. We will start with management and work our way towards off-leash recall.
Expert Trainers: Our experienced trainers will guide you through positive and effective techniques tailored to your dog’s recall training needs. Did you know that all of us at Eazy Dog Training compete with our own dogs, meaning we regularly need to be able to have our dogs off leash in high distraction environments without worrying they run off or do not come back! We will pass on how to achieve this!
Immediate Results: You’ll see improvement in your dog’s recall right away with practical, real-world exercises.
Confidence in Any Situation: We focus on real-life training setups, so your dog will learn to recall in various environments, even with distractions.
Small Group Setting: With a limited number of dogs per workshop, you’ll receive personalised attention to address your dog’s specific recall training challenges.
Fun & Engaging: Our training is designed to be enjoyable for both you and your dog, building a stronger bond while improving behaviour.
Whether your dog ignores you completely or just takes their time coming back, our recall training teaches you how to build a reliable come-when-called so you can enjoy off-lead walks without the anxiety.
